I had to make this cocktail as my Grandpa was called Gordon and he loved a G&T. He was old school of course, always in a suit and tie and would not approve of anything other than a traditional Gin and Tonic, made with huge amounts of Gordons gin and a dash of tonic!
This is savoury, cooling cocktail. Perfect on a hot summers day and ideal made with our Kaffir Lime & Lemongrass gin. Slightly related to the “Caipirinha”, Gordon’s Cup is a refreshing cocktail created in the mid-2000s by one of the pioneers of the cocktail resurgence, Sasha Petraske.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Twisting Spirits Kaffir Lime & Lemongrass gin
- 1 Lime cut into 4 wedges
- 6 cucumber slices, 3 reserved for the garnish
- 50ml Sugar syrup
- Salt & pepper
To Make Your Cocktail: Muddle the fresh lime & 3 slices of cucumber together. Add the remaining ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and pour into your glass of choice. Sprinkle with salt & pepper and garnish with the remaining cucumber slices.
I would love to know if you make this and what you think! ? Mary
