A Celebratory Gin Cocktail with English Sparkling Wine
A perfect bubbly cocktail based on the French 75 but with English sparkling wine instead of Champagne.
English 75 is a sophisticated, incredibly refreshing drink that perfect melds a lovely sparkling wine with our Earl Grey Tea flavoured spirit. Our Earl Grey botanical comes from local, cotswold tea company Born Wild Tea. Their tea is made with high quality, ethical tea leaves which we cold distil in our rotary evaporator. Their beautifully perfumed tea combined with the lemony undertones that come through in our recipe, makes for all the flavours of high tea in a bottle.
And what better way to elevate high tea? Sparkling wine!
We have some of the best sparkling wine in the world here in the UK so why not use English fizz instead and celebrate all things British to make this Gin Cocktail! If you like your cocktails with a citrus note then this is perfect for you as it has fresh lemon juice. The Earl Grey pairs perfectly with the Elderflower cordial and the sparkling wine gives it the perfect fizz.
We’ve garnished with an orange twist, but feel free to use a lemon garnish instead, or leave it off completely – you decide

The Earl Grey Tea Leaves
We source our tea leaves from Born Wild Tea who are based in Cheltenham, just down the road from our distillery. They go to great lengths to ensure they provide the highest quality and sustainably sourced loose leaf tea blends. Their Earl Grey is a fragrant blend of high quality black tea and natural bergamot oil. They also add a sprinkling of colourful cornflower petals. I would highly recommend checking out their tea range. I personally love their Orange Spice tea.
More of a Gin and Tonic Fan?
Our Earl Grey tea goes perfectly in a Gin and Tonic. We would recommended initially trying with a plain premium tonic so you can fully appreciate the gin. After that, why not try with your favourite tonic, be that Elderflower, Cucumber or whatever takes your fancy.
